Teddies in the Snow
For R&J Chinchilla Rescue
I was beginning to get somewhat fed up with always being on the backstitch/finishing duty for these auctions, so I decided to do my own bookmark for it and this is the design that I chose. It's really incredibly cute and I love the finished effect, but stitching it was incredibly tedious due to it having 22 colours in such a small space.
My mum really loved it though and talked about buying it for herself instead of putting it in the shops. It doesn't really matter who buys it though as the money is all going to R&Js anyway. I'm just so glad that someone else loved it and would appreciate how much work went into it.
Biscuit Bookmark
For R&J Chinchilla Rescue
When my mum first got into the idea of making bookmarks for the Auctions, I was enlisted to help with the Biscuit Bookmarks. Unfortunately my cat decided to help colour in and jumped on one with very muddy paws. My mum has not let me take one home again and ever since I've been relegated to the backstitch and finishing.
Butterfly Card
For Cancer Research UK
This was part of a group plan on one of my forums. The plan was that we would all make cards and then send them to a designated person who would have them to a charity to sell. I was the designated person this round. I chose the theme cheerful and we all stitched our cards.
My stitching is somewhat of a mystery...I got halfway through my stitching before I realized that I had been subconciously stitching a mirrored design and with that realization...I lost the ability. So the first half was easy, the second half...not so much.
I'm still waiting for round 2 to start.
