ATC - Snow
Crossstitch forum
The theme for this ATC was snow. So I chose a design from one of my magazines and adapted it slightly. The first adaptation was the biggest, to change the size, the origional design was wider and shorter. So I started off with a metallic purple boarder and centred the church inside it and began from there.
I used metallic threads for the snow and a satin thread for the moon. I'm really proud of how this came out.
ATC - New Beginnings

This theme was New beginings. It was a little on the vague side, I know, but that's part of the fun of it, so to fit the theme, I chose to stitch daffodils as they symbolize the start of a new year to me.
ATC - Yourself
DeviantArt
The aim of this theme was to represent yourself. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be, but I'd like to think I made a good go at it. I chose a lazy yellow cat snoozing on a pink sofa because pink is my favourite colour. I currently have blonde hair. I do own a cat and am a very feline sort of person. Then, to fill in the background I added an Eastern Kannji for Blessings because I like Eastern Kanji.
Small Fantasy Exchange
Craft bubble
So this was an interesting exchange. We basically had to do a small fantasy stitch. Nothing more. No definition to small, no clue as to how to finish it. So I chose a mermaid and turned it into a bookmark. Stitched on blue Aida and with red hair, like mine at the time of stitching.
ATC - Autumn
Crossstitch forum
This round we were stitching autumn and what it means to us. Well how could I not stitch this? It's pretty much expected that there will be a bunny in it somewhere and why not under an autumn tree?
ATC - Food
Crossstitch forum
This round we were doing food. I had no idea what to do, but came upon a very pixelated version of some cherrypie and pretty much stitched it from that.
ATC - Pets
Crossstitch forum
This design came from an issue of Cross Stitcher magazine and was slightly adapted. In the magazine he has no boarder and more carrots. But artistic license...I like him better like this. The rabbit is called Bobbitt and he looks as though he's had a good chomp of those carrots in my picture.
This was also my first attempt at varigated threads, in the boarder, doesn't it work well? I really didn't want to give Bobbitt away when I'd done.
ATC

I chose to stitch a Yorkshire rose and a bunny as a representation of myself. We had no theme to adhere to and I was still very new to stitching so my threads don't all lie the same direction.
I chose the Yorkshire rose as I am a Yorkshire lass.
I chose a Bunny for several reasons. Firstly because I'm the forums crazy bunny lady, but also because my birth year is that of the rabbit and I did have the best pet rabbit in the world.
